A/N: There were a number of questions about Tom being unable to kill Harry. YES, Tom can hurt him, even going so far as to bring him near to death, but the ritual Sal did keeps Harry from dying from any wounds dealt to him by an Heir. (So, if Tom were to wound Harry enough that he would die from one more hit, and someone that isn't Tom were to deliver that hit, Harry would die.)
Also, just because he CAN'T die, doesn't mean he wants to get hit with any curses; Harry's not a masochist. And surviving the Killing Curse hurts.

I considered naming him after my cat, who loves humans, but it seemed somewhat wrong to have a pet dragon named Tom in a school run by a man with the name. (Never mind that Voldie is the reason Tom has the name he does. XD)

A/N: A number of people have asked about Voldemort/Gaunt. Gaunt is Voldemort, not a Horcrux that's taken a human form. The Death Eaters aren't aware of Voldie's other life, as it were. (But, then again, he's gotta have something to do in his free time, right?)
The DEs are also where Voldie got the money to start the school, though they don't know that. Since then, a couple galleons every couple of months and any donations from alumni are what's kept the school running. (It was all donations, during the thirteen years that Voldie was missing, since there was no Head to get money from the DEs.)

A/N: I got this idea when reading another fanfic which was the usual Harry's-ticked-at-Dumbles-for-controlling-his-life-and-goes-Dark story. And I thought, 'What if Dumbles manipulated Harry to do EXACTLY that?!' So I decided to try and write it. We'll see how this goes.
This, by the way, takes place in Harry's sixth year, except for the prologue, which takes place after Dumbledore tells Harry the prophecy in his office. And there may be little HBP bits in there, but for the most part, it'll ignore that book. And DH. (I'm in denial about DH, FYI.)
